Establishing child custody, placement and support and spousal maintenance are all part of the equation when divorcing. Many times, one spouse believes that the their income contribution to the family outweighs any value placed upon a spouse that provides child care. That’s just not how it works.

Support during and after the divorce, custody, decision-making for the children, placement, education and ongoing expenses during a child’s development to adulthood are all contemplated and set forth in the marital settlement agreement, which is the controlling document post-divorce.
